Distinctive Events was honored to have been the coordinating team of this incredible wedding on the Amalfi Coast of Italy. We were also fortunate enough to have brought this new Charleston talent, Adam Seigel (www.siegelfilms.com) to document the unbelievable beauty of the area and the extravagantly detailed affair celebrating the joining of two family cultures.

Maegan and Joe

No, this is not a staged wedding, model shoot for bridal boutique.  This was our very own Mae and Joey, who got married at Lowndes Grove this past Saturday.  Not only is this couple absolutely gorgeous, but so sweet and a pleasure to work with.  We loved being a part of their special day and Evan Laettner captured incredible photos as always.  Our Distinctive Events Team depicted her classic, clean, southern style perfectly through incredible flowers, green apple accents, rustic lanterns, a chic lounge , subtle café styled lighting and more.  What a compliment to the already stunning property.

We fell in love with this bride immediately.  Jessica has such a sweet demeanor not to mention impeccable taste and style.  Her eclectic, vintage look transferred beautifully into her and Spencer’s wedding at the Legare Waring House at Charlestowne Landing.  The creative family style menu was expertly prepared by the fabulous team at Granvilles followed by the traditional “scooping of the gelato” from the infamous Paolo.  My favorite part of the entire wedding was our fabulous new photographer find.  Theo Milo Photography is incredible, as you can see from these photos!  He pays such attention to the details and captured our work beautifully, not to mention documenting a beautiful celebration for Jessica and Spencer.

Wedding in CharlestonWhat a unique wedding style this couple had.  An adorable couple, a gorgeous, traditional, Charleston ceremony at the French Huguenot Church and a wild, sophisticated reception in the Barbados Room of the Mills HouseRichard Ellis captured the feel of this celebration perfectly.  Check out Della’s kind words on this Wedding Row post.

Louise and Rick 11-20-10

We have recently been featured on Magnolia Rouge, an international blog based in New Zealand, by one of our favorite photographers, Hyer Images.  I agree completely with their decision to feature Louise and Rick’s wedding that took place this past fall on Kiawah Island.  What an incredible story about a second chance at love later in life.  This couple stole our hearts with their dynamic relationship and passion for their new lives together.  Thanks to you both for including us in your fabulous celebration!

This past Sunday our adored owner, Sha Sha Harnik, married Distinctive Events Production Manager and love of her life, Christopher Durand.  What an event that was!  A fabulous early afternoon ceremony in the Zen style courtyard at Founders Hall was followed by the Caribbean sounds of Mystic Vibrations for a casual brunch style reception perfectly prepared by Cru Catering.

The event ended with the ceremonial “bouncing in the jump castle” finale.  Here you see the Distinctive Events girls kick the kiddies out and get footloose and fancy free.  How Chuck Eaton kept that camera steady in there I will never know.  We can’t wait to see the rest of the photos!

Meet Our Team…

We were lucky enough to have Juliet Elizabeth take us on a staff photo shoot recently around downtown Charleston.  It is quite amazing all the interesting areas of town you can walk by every day and never notice.  Leave it to Juliet’s creative eye to point them out.  What a blast we had finally getting the whole crew together to cheese it up for the camera.
